Izzy was the beloved, talented, super horse owned by Carolyn Phillips. She was born on 5/2/2006 and taken to Heaven 8/25/2010 after a fatal accident.
During her very short show career she won (7) 1st & (5) 2nd places. Her first ride in June was at Eagle foothills for a memorial gathering of endurance riders. Niagara Springs was another riding place.
Izzy is survived by her sire: Stick Tucker, and dam: Mayfire; along with her pasture pals Princess, Yankee Doodle, Abagale, Rainbow, Chief, Sonnet, Tomahawk, Shadow and Belesema Lilly.
Our hearts go out to Carolyn for the tragic loss of this beautiful mare.
May 22 was bitter cold and damp, but a few intrepid souls turned out to enjoy the excellent trails and hazards at Carolyn Phillips’ Dead End Ranch. She offered a rain date on May 29; but torrential rains turned the footing in to soup; so the rain date was rescheduled for June 5. That was the day after we had funnel clouds and record rainfall in the Treasure Valley, so again it was a few intrepid souls who made it….We admire their determination, and appreciate Carolyn’s hard work in planning this event even when the weather conspires against her! Here are a few pictures from that event:

2009 was a full year for the Whips! Here is a quick recap of some of our events.
We had a great turnout for the Terri Jones Clinic and Pleasure Driving Show. Here are a few pictures that Lee took on Sunday.
The rain dried up just in time for the playday at Carolyn Phillips' Dead End Ranch. The weather was cold but lovely and the course was wonderful, with two miles of well-groomed trail and some great hazards. We had a super lunch with a campfire and Dutch-oven cooking. Thanks to the Phillips, for all their effort in putting on this event! Here are some pictures.
The Combined Driving Festival was a great success! Here are a few pictures of members participating.
The Treasure Valley Whips were well represented at the Western Idaho State Fair.
